Welcome to April, and our series, April Showers Bring Me Dreams For Hours. This is our series of dreamy strange wonderful movies, and our first one is Brazil, 1985, directed by Terry Gilliam. This black comedy about a dystopian future where people are stolen from their homes to be questioned by faceless government entities who aren't directly responsible for anything in their incompetent totalitarian bureaucracy. Something that seemed distinctly far off from any future we would see... anyway, there are some great visuals in this movie and it is a blast to watch and I love it. I just want to say that this dreamy, dreary, beautiful movie is something to really behold, so find it and watch it. Then prepare for next weeks episode, The Big Lebowski.
